Mobility is a widespread and central issue in the tourism sector, particularly in the era of sustainable tourism. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, ¾ of the sector's greenhouse gas emissions come from mobility, and 68% of mobility's carbon footprint is linked to travel to and from destinations. In France alone, transport accounts for 39% of the country's total emissions, according to ADEME.
