Mobility is a widespread and central issue in the tourism sector, particularly in the era of sustainable tourism. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, ¾ of the sector's greenhouse gas emissions come from mobility, and 68% of mobility's carbon footprint is linked to travel to and from destinations. In France alone, transport accounts for 39% of the country's total emissions, according to ADEME. With this in mind, a number of players are working to make mobility smoother and more respectful of the environment, while at the same time meeting the needs of its users. While transport must become more sustainable, it must also be reliable, practical and modern. Here's a look at the latest initiatives that are shaping the mobility of tomorrow.
