The French start-up Hewago wants to offer unlimited flights for about a hundred euros per month.
"We want to launch the TGV Max Air Card," says Matthieu Nicod, co-founder of Hewago. "TGV Max" refers to the card launched by the French train company SNCF a year ago, that offers unlimited train travel for people between 16-27 for 79€ per month. The start-up would now like to allow its customers to take as many flights as they want with a "solo" subscription at 99.99€ per month. The "duo" formula allows travel for two at the price of 194.99€. For the moment, the offer is limited to short and medium-haul flights with low-cost companies: Ryanair, Transavia, Hop!, Vueling, etc. Currently the portfolio of destinations includes: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Bologna, Budapest, Copenhagen, Krakow, Dublin, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, Florence, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Naples, Palermo, Paris, Pisa, Porto, Prague, Rome, Seville, Valencia, Venice, Vienna. The founders would like to extend this offer to low-cost long-haul and thus "offer airlines partnerships in which they would make their unsold tickets available," explains Matthieu Nicod. In the test phase, Hewago's offer should become available to the general public in April 2018, primarily from Roissy-CDG, Orly and Beauvais airports.
