The last major phase of expansion of the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport is being prepared.
The studies for Roissy's last major terminal will be launched in 2018 and it will be built over a 20-year period. This development will prevent saturation of the airport's terminals.
The new terminal of the group Aéroports de Paris will be able to handle 30 to 40 million passengers. The first phase, which will handle between 7 and 10 million passengers is scheduled for 2024, before the Olympic Games in Paris.
Located on the land where the new terminal is to be built, Terminal 3, which services charter companies and some low-cost carriers, will be removed within 15 years.
"With this terminal, ADP will have a new Orly," said Augustin de Romanet, CEO of ADP.
