Join us at the Paris Asset Forum >hospitality on Tuesday November 30th to learn more about these new types of spaces with Olivier Durix, Managing Director of Bouygues Immobilier and Stéphane Bensimon, CEO of WOJO. At a time when the pandemic has shaken up our way of life, and in particular our way of working, third places are becoming increasingly popular because of their modern and disruptive dimension, which is totally in line with our times.
Telework, workation, remote meeting... so many words that have been added to our daily professional vocabulary since the arrival of Covid-19. No longer able to go to the office but looking for a place other than their home, many people have turned to third places. The latter are evolving rapidly as the boundary between living and working spaces is becoming increasingly blurred, responding to a desire on the part of clients to enjoy more convivial, comfortable and multi-purpose spaces.
How are third places evolving to meet the new expectations of customers? How can we make co-working spaces ever more innovative and attractive? With the presentation of the Wojo concept, let's understand together the importance of these places and their possible future evolution.
This analysis will be presented by Olivier Durix, Managing Director of Bouygues Immobilier in charge of new offers and participations. He holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Law and Urban Planning from the University of Montpellier. He joined Bouygues Immobilier in 2001 as a programme manager in Montpellier for a period of five years before joining VINCI Construction France in 2006 as a project manager. He rejoined Bouygues Immobilier in 2009 as Agency Manager for the Var region and later as Regional Manager for the Côte d'Azur. In 2015, he moved to Casablanca and took up the position of General Manager Morocco before flying to Poland two years later to become General Manager of Bouygues Immobilier POLSKA. He finally returned to France at the beginning of 2020 and took over as General Manager of the group's new real estate offerings sector. In 2021, he will join the Executive Committee of Bouygues Immobilier. Olivier Durix is also a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) since 2015. Passionate about politics, he became a municipal councillor for the town of Baillargues in 2001 in parallel with his professional activities.
The analysis will also be presented by Stéphane Bensimon, CEO of Wojo. After joining the Young Manager Program at INSEAD in 2000, he joined the hospitality sector in 2008 as Sales, Distribution and Revenue Management Director at Accor France. Two years later, he became General Manager of Ibis Style France and held this position for 5 years before becoming Deputy CEO France in charge of Topline issues for AccorHotels brands. In the meantime, he obtained a Master's degree in Business Unit Management from HEC Paris in 2013. In parallel to his position within the Accor group, he was entrusted with the management of the Wojo brand which intends to revolutionise co-working spaces with 3 concepts: Wojo Spots, Wojo Corners and Wojo.
They will share the genesis and ambition of the Wojo concept, a contraction of the words "work" and "mojo", developed in partnership with the Accor hotel group. They will also discuss the emergence of new hybrid and nomadic spaces that merge co-working and co-living spaces to form a co&co space, a brand new and interesting object for the hospitality sector.
Wojo is also evolving, taking inspiration from the hotel model to propose other development methods, in particular with an offer to manage and exploit real estate on behalf of third parties.
