The vast majority of The Originals hotels remain open despite the strong impact of the crisis on the business. Mobilized and confident, the members of the cooperative are even looking ahead to 2021.
The clientele is mainly composed of business and corporate clients. Their welcome has been the focus of a great deal of collective work during the health crisis: creation of a The Originals health label, flexible pricing policy, adapted stopover evening, "business pack" for each hotel, challenge on the The Originals Club loyalty program, new positioning of the weekday restaurant offers ....
Solidarity initiatives for healthcare personnel have also been put in place and are in line with the values of the cooperative model, which will be continued.
This second confinement reinforces remote support with concrete solutions tailored to each individual: the 480 hotels can request "individualized appointments" online remotely to prepare for the coming months.
After last spring's 25 collective webinars, The Originals is renewing this formula to share and build the projects that will be launched in 2021 and for which each hotel is invited to prepare now.
Philippe Marguet, Managing Director of The Originals Human Hotels & Resorts, testifies :
This year 2020 has been a very trying year for the profession. For The Originals, this crisis has also shown that collective work and listening make sense in this particular context. Our results show that. Even if the next few months are still unclear, this is not the time to stay alone and withdraw, we have already set ourselves in motion to prepare everyone for the recovery, to find a positive outlook, and to reinvent ourselves too. The Originals embodies singularity, whatever the hotel. Guests coming out of the crisis will be even more sensitive to this.
