Hilton is offering companies the opportunity to further reduce the environmental impact of meetings and events through carbon offsetting, in partnership with the South Pole Group.
Hilton hotels in the Netherlands have partnered with South Pole Group to offer companies the opportunity to offset the carbon footprint of their meetings and events at no additional cost.
The initiative will be available at eight hotels in the Netherlands beginning April 21. The program will complement existing efforts to offer low environmental impact solutions that limit waste and focus on local sourcing, in support of Hilton Travel with Purpose 2030 goals to halve its environmental footprint and double its social impact by 2030.

Hilton will use its corporate responsibility performance management system, LightStay, to estimate the energy, water, carbon and waste consumption of each meeting. The calculation tool allows guests to get an estimate of their event's carbon footprint using specific utility data from each hotel. In addition to the measures available to businesses to reduce waste and energy consumption from corporate events, carbon credits will be purchased from South Pole Group to offset any remaining environmental impact.
Carbon offsets will be available beginning April 21, 2021 for meetings of 10 or more attendees at the following hotels:

- Hilton La Haye
- Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam
