Vienna House is now part of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts

The hospitality industry keeps consolidating, last announcement being the arrival of Vienna House within Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio.

The American sets a solid foot into central Europe, the Austrian brand being present in Germany (31 hotels), Poland (6 hotels), the Czech Republic (3 hotels) as well as Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Romania with one property in each country.

The brand as been acquired from HR Group for €44 million. Already partner of Wyndham, HR Group will continue to own, lease, or operate Vienna House’s properties that will now be named as Vienna House by Wyndham.

Geoff Ballotti, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President and Chief Executive Officer declared: “Europe continues to present accelerating growth for the travel sector with strong demand steadily bouncing back across leisure and business.”

Dimitris Manikis, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President for Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa added: “The acquisition of the Vienna House brand and our expanded collaboration with our trusted partner, HR Group, mark a key step in expanding our market presence even further, adding immediate scale and capability and supporting our ambitions for growth in important destinations across EMEA.”

In July, the American group already announced its partnership with Spanish brand Palladium Hotel Group.
