Extendam is continuing its European expansion with the acquisition of the premises and business of the Forsters Posthotel in Donaustauf, located between Munich and Nuremberg.

The operation of the 4-star hotel is entrusted to the hotel operator SomnOO, a partner and co-investor of Extendam in several assets in Europe. SomnOO already owns and operates over 50 hotels in Germany and France.

Located in the heart of a dynamic and attractive economic area, the Forsters Posthotel property caters to a corporate clientele, mainly business guests.

The property was opened in 1994 and has been managed by the Forster family ever since. Thanks to continuous expansion and renovation, the hotel has established itself as a top-class hotel in Bavaria.

The hotel offers 71 rooms and suites and is spread over two buildings. It has a bar, restaurant, 10 meeting rooms, a fitness and wellness area and a large terrace.

The Regensburg region has been developing continuously in terms of hotels for many years. Extendam is therefore paying special attention to this area. In terms of business tourism, Regensburg's central location makes it an important place for the exchange of goods. More than 400 transport and logistics companies are located in the region, along with major international groups such as BMW, Continental, Krones, etc. Regensburg is the leading port in the Danube. In terms of leisure tourism, the city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2006. On the edge of the Bavarian Forest, the asset is also located a few metres from the Walhalla temple, a memorial that attracts visitors every day. This acquisition brings the number of Extendam and SomnOO assets in Germany to four and the number of joint operations in Europe to 12.

The Forsters Posthotel is SomnOO's first acquisition in this region of Germany and adds to our portfolio in this European country. We are already present in North Rhine-Westphalia with Extendam.
