Meliá partners with Air France and KLM loyalty programmes.

The Spanish hotel chain announces a partnership with the the air carriers where loyalty members can exchange points for miles.

Meliá Hotels International has reached a new agreement with the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme created by Air France and KLM to allow members to benefit from both loyalty programmes.Through the partnership with Flying Blue, Air France and KLM will join the Meliá Hotels International’s portfolio of partners, which already includes Iberia, Spanair, Air Berlin, Lufthansa, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.The new agreement allows members of Meliá Hotels International’s "mas rewards programme" to exchange points for Flying Blue miles at a rate of one mile for every six mas rewards points.Flying Blue cardholders will also be able to redeem their miles in hotels operated by Meliá Hotels International and earn miles for each night made at qualifying rates (500 miles at Gran Meliá, Meliá, ME by Meliá, INNSIDE by Meliá; and 300 miles at TRYP by Wyndham and Sol).The agreement forms part of Meliá Hotels International’s business strategy to strengthen its position and competitiveness in international markets, forming partnerships with major travel companies to enhance efficiency and guarantee the best products for its customers.Through the partnership with Flying Blue, Air France and KLM will join the Meliá Hotels International’s portfolio of partners, which already includes Iberia, Spanair, Air Berlin, Lufthansa, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
