The Spanish hotel group has implemented services that are adapted to the consumer habits of Chinese clientele at six of its European hotels.

While it is a partner of two of the main actors in the Chinese hotel market, Jin Jiang and Greenland, Melià Hotels International decided to adapt its European supply to the meet the needs of clientele coming from China.

The group thus provides special attention to these clientele at six of its European properties: the QGreen in Frankfurt, the Melià White House in London, the Melià Castilla and Gran Melià properties in Madrid, the Melià Barcelona Sarrià, and the Melià Barcelona Sky. Each of these properties has trained personnel who speak Chinese, 10 to 15 rooms adapted to the tastes and needs of this type of clientele, specific catering, special amenities, and even Chinese television and newspapers.

"The Chinese market has become the number-one supplier of tourists worldwide, and has a high growth rate. Today it represents 1.8% of our clientele, and this percentage can reach 6% at Melià Lima and 12% at the Melià Caracas," declared Gabriel Escarrer in the Spanish press.

The Spanish group also has a supply adapted to Middle Eastern clientele in its Melià Milano, Melià White House, Melià Düsseldorf, Melià Berlin and Tryp Munich hotels.
