Marriott International has just finalized the $317 million sale of the Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Hawaii. This transaction is in line with Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ plan of sales initiated prior to the merger with Marriott International.
Located on Ka'anapali Beach, Westin Maui Resort & Spa offers a total of 759 rooms in two 12-storey towers. It also includes large meeting rooms, five swimming pools, a spa, a fitness center and access to two golf courses.
As a reminder, the Marriott Group completed the acquisition of Starwood Hotels in September 2016, thus becoming the world's leading hotel group with 5,640 hotels totaling 1,108,852 rooms worldwide as of January 1, 2016, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
