On February 5, OYO launched its digital campaign "Long-term relationship with OYO" for Valentine's Day, in which Neena Gupta and Swanand Kirkire, two famous Indian actors, are the main protagonists of its four films.
After the first film, "Same Hotel", OYO will launch four films during the month of February. These films depict the chemistry at work in a middle-aged couple on a trip. The idea for OYO's latest campaign is focused on women, as an internal study revealed that women are the main decision-makers when it comes to booking a getaway, vacation or stay. According to the study, in eight out of ten cases, women lead the conversation and make the final decision about the trip. Keeping these findings at the heart of the campaign, OYO decided to address the real decision-maker - the women.
In the first film, the protagonists, who are in a long-term relationship, played by Swanand Kirkire and Neena Gupta, bicker gently about the fact that they always choose the same hotel and room each time. The film ends with Neena's rather metaphorical question "I'm not bored, how about you?" which subtly alludes to their long relationship. The film also subtly conveys the strong, repetitive demand from OYO's clients.
The second film, "Cosy Cosy", is a playful discussion about a candlelit dinner that ends with Neena's decision to request dinner in her room. This film effectively highlights the quality and comfort of OYO stays. The third and fourth films are based on moments of appreciation between the two actors. These films emphasize the pleasure of enjoying the little things in an otherwise mundane life and the presence of OYO in key locations.
