Le Cookmaster Barrière

BARRIERE COOKMASTER is the first 100% digital cooking competition _ It is a patisserie competition open to all amateurs and accessible via Facebook.

Summary _ It has three objectives: -*Bring popularity and modernity to the Barrier Hotels brand -*Draw “qualified” fans enabling the creation of a productive and effective buzz around potential customers -*Increase salesCandidates were invited to post their dessert recipes on the dedicated Facebook application _ 2 participants were chosen by an internal jury and taken directly to the final _ 3 additional candidates are subject to voting by fans of the Barrière Hotels Facebook page. The one with the most “likes” joined the other two candidates in the final.Throughout the process, videos were posted on social networks to create publicity, awareness through word of mouth, and attract qualified candidates to our Facebook page. _ The final takes place at Fouquet’s Paris with the attendance of Michelin-star chefs and 2 guests: Ariane Massenet and Luana Belmondo, enabling the operation to be mediatised. _ The 3 candidates had exactly 2 hours to reproduce their desserts under the eyes of our chefs. _ The final was shown live on social networks to enable fans to live the experience -*Diffusion of photos on Instagram -*Updating Facebook pages with posts -*Diffusion of videos on YouTubeThe winner won the immense privilege of seeing his dessert feature in the menu of Lucien Barrière Group establishments! _ The 1st edition of BARRIER COOKMASTER took place between June and September 2012 ending with a grand finale at Fouquet’s on the 24th September.WHY DO YOU THINK YOU CAN WIN THE COMPETITION ?Through this initiative, Barrière Hotels draw upon the success of both cooking competitions and the progress of social networks. _ It is the first 100% digital cooking competition organised by a hotel group and transmitted cross media. It is rolled out on a variety of social platforms: Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and transmitted via email, press and in-store presence. _ It has thus permitted us to access all customer/brand points of contact.
