Many people forced into isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic credit their pets with keeping them sane during lockdown. Hilton wants to reward these four-legged friends with a fine meal.
A study conducted by Hilton reveals that the vast majority of British pet owners believe the pandemic would have been much harder for them without their canine companions, who have lifted spirits (86%) and provided companionship in times of need (86%). Eight in ten (80%) say the pandemic would have been much harder for them without their dog and 82% even say their dog has been as valuable and supportive as family and close friends over the past 12 months.
In response, Hilton has unveiled Bone Appétit, a new appetizing menu for dogs to show their canine companions that they matter. The bespoke menu will be available to guests and their pets at 32 pet-friendly Hilton hotels in the UK and Ireland starting May 17.
Developed in collaboration with veterinary nutrition experts, the dog menu consists of four meal options:
Beef Doguignon: slow-cooked beef brisket served with mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, corn, beans and gluten-free gravy.
Cabotine Roast: Gluten-free tomato pasta topped with aged cheddar cheese and roasted in the oven.
Earl Greyhound: A soothing blend of lavender, rose petals, lime blossom and orange blossom. Perfect for anxious dogs recovering from a long car trip or staying away from home.
Tailwagger Creek: A non-alcoholic wine infused with elderflower, nettle, ginseng, lime and black carrot.
