The French group is reportedly planning to launch its new brand "Greet" this summer. It should make it possible to attract independent hoteliers to the AccorHotels network.
AccorHotels' new brand, Greet, could become the hotel group's new lure to attract more properties to its network. Sights are set on independent hotels, between 50 and 70 rooms, operating in the economy segment. The hotels would have a certain freedom as to the layout of their establishment to avoid standardizing the offer of the new brand.
Greet will target customers looking for accommodations that are well located and offer products that are more original. Nonetheless, to affirm the brand's identity Greet hotels will all need to have a bar and colourful common areas.
IHG has also launched a new brand, voco, also seeking to convert independent hotels.
