In 2017, Lyon’s area hotels recorded improvement in their performances. The occupancy rate rose by 3.2 points and showed great dynamism on the budget segment (+4.3 points), because of the recent modernisation of the supply and the growing appeal of the destination, notably for leisure tourists and MICE guests.
The average daily rate posted significant, -3.5% global recess over the year, suffering from comparison with an eventful previous years (Euro and Fete des Lumières), causing the RevPAR to only increase by 1.3%.
