The holiday rental company will implement this change in nearly 600 French cities.

From March 15, 2018, the tourist tax will be immediately levied by the HomeAway platform (Abritel in France).

It was until now limited to Paris, pilot city in 2017, and will be effective in all online bookings of a holiday rental located in cities with more than 200,000 inhabitants, regional metropolises and the main tourist regions and cities.

Thus, the cities of Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes, Strasbourg, Montpellier, Bordeaux and Rennes are concerned as well as some attractive cities of the southern coasts, the Atlantic coast, the Manche department or even mountainous massifs.
