DoveVivo had already made a move into France in the summer of 2021 with the opening of coliving units in the Greater Paris area. The company had raised €72 million in 2019 which allowed it to have new development ambitions. Among the investors is Starwood Capital alongside Tikehau Capital.
The portfolio of the French start-up Chez Nestor includes 438 shared rooms in Lyon, 405 in Paris, 192 in Montpellier, 145 in Lille, 112 in Toulouse and 51 in Bordeaux. The Lyon-based company had completely digitised the customer journey with virtual visits and contracting also online.
DoveVivo is currently present in Italy in 13 cities, in Madrid and in France where it is taking over the Chez Nestor portfolio in addition to its already established presence in Lille and Paris. The Italian proptech claims 12,000 rental beds in 40 destinations.
This is not the company's first acquisition this year, as it acquired ALTIDO Group, the short-term rental asset management specialist, last February.
