Airbnb is going to launch a new product “Airbnb Select”, in which Airbnb invites selected hosts with high ratings and reviews to undergo an inspection and professional photography process.
Properties listed on Airbnb Select must meet certain requirements for particular amenities and safety features, such as having a clean and maintained space, clutter-free interior design, a space for coffee or tea, a place to hang clothes, fast Wi-Fi, dinnerware, nice linens, towels and so on.
Airbnb offers financial aid to invited hosts who need to bring their homes up to Airbnb Select standards. This new tier of Airbnb is targeted at wealthier travelers who seek hotel-like experience.
In return for being a part of Airbnb Select, hosts will have better search results.
The company has already begun various trial programs among its selected hosts. But not all hosts are happy with the pilot as they prefer managing their home in their own way.
