The number of foreign visitors is steadily increasing and two thirds of them are heading to the capital, Vilnius. Last year, non-residents represent 62.2% of the overnights in hotels and similar accommodations. Following the decline of Russian arrivals, linked to the challenging international relations with the EU, Germany became the first source market with 7.5% of overnights spent. Poland, Latvia and the United Kingdom are other major feeder markets. Overall, EU countries generate 45.3% of total overnights.
