Leonardo Hotels has acquired a portfolio of 20 hotels for 3,600 rooms from Queens Moat Houses Holding GmbH Germany in Europe’s biggest hotel deal in recent years.

Leonardo Hotels, the European branch of the Israeli Fattal Hotels Group, acquired a portfolio from Queens Moat Houses Holding GmbH Germany for 20 properties of 3,600 rooms total.The portfolio includes 15 Holiday Inn hotels, four Best Western hotels, and one Queens hotel. With this acquisition, Leonardo Hotels now manages 44 hotels in 20 German cities.The deal brings the Fattal Hotels Group's global portfolio to 84 hotels, for more than 16,000 rooms. 53 of these hotels for 8,449 rooms are located in Europe, in Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, and Germany. 31 hotels with 7,600 rooms are located in Israel.However, this is only the beginning, as David Fattal, CEO Fattal Hotels/Leonardo explains, "We want to continue to grow and continuously negotiate projects in major European cities".
