Leeds is the economic capital of Yorkshire, which is also a picturesque region hosting 2 national parks and seaside resorts –such as Harrogate and Scarborough– which are among British guests’ favourites.
The rise in hotel demand is driven by the growing economy of Leeds (especially through remote banking services and legal services) and a rising leisure demand, notably tied to events that have been created to support local hotel activity, such as the Tour de Yorkshire (launched in 2015). The Leeds-Bradford airport welcomed 3.6 million passengers in 2016, up 5%.
Chain supply in the city stands at 4,791 rooms as of 2017.
