A little folly of hi-tech and design from the same group that designed the Murano, the hotel "Kube rooms and bars" is now one of the truly hip places in Paris. Originally it was an old hôtel particulier nestled into the end of a small street in the very cosmopolitan 18th district. Once decrepit, the building was entirely rearranged and metamorphosed to fit a surprising concept: "Kubisme", a blend of sleek geometry and a cozy atmosphere. Behind its discrete façade may be found two bars – "The Ice Cube", the first French bar made of ice for sipping vodka at -5° at an imposing iceberg bar, 41 rooms and suites that are also of polar inspiration with curtains and bed covers made of fake fur, and furnishings that the blend design and the spirit of the Great North, and two state of the art modular meeting rooms. In an ambience that unites dreamlike luminosity, crystal clear sounds, Dj nights and a lounge attitude, the hotel’s clientele form a veritable little community of initiates already known as "kubers".
