About the role:
Content is at the heart of what we do in Social, and the Social Media Content Specialist will be an integral part of the Social Media & Consumer PR team, working closely together to develop incredible content to share across the various brand and group level social media accounts such as @RadissonRED, @RadissonCollection and @RadissonHotels, showcasing our global portfolio of hotels. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Radisson Hotel Group’s broader Commercial team - a multinational team of marketing and digital experts - and to move the needle when it comes to driving engagement and brand preference.
This role is based in the Corporate Support Office in Madrid, reporting to the Global Director, Social Media, Consumer PR & Field Activation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the content strategy and storytelling narrative for each individual brand’s social presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube in partnership with brand Community Managers
- Focus on video creation to engage our audiences, with a clear understanding of platform differences when it comes to video requirements
- Manage the video agency responsible for optimizing hotel video content into branded usable formats
- Work closely with Social Media Community Managers to support with weekly content calendars and provide content recommendations based on performance and new trends
- Support content development for B2C, B2B and Loyalty campaigns to incorporate social-first content into larger integrated marketing campaigns
- Provide cross-departmental support to enable us to tell key stories through compelling content across the business from Employee Stories to Sustainability
- Drive the User Generated Content strategy and ensure best-in-class content is well integrated and made available across digital touchpoints including web, CRM, Display in partnership with the Digital team
- Act as expert for area teams to generate a content-first social culture across the hotels including sharing of best practices, guideline development and webinar training program to fuel content generation
- Support area teams in ensuring hotel-level social presence is on-brand and audited as per defined Social Media guidelines
- Coordinate creative agency relationships for key content projects and turn ideas into clear briefs
- Measure and report on content performance across all platforms with a focus on driving engagement and building brand love amongst our followers and loyalty members with the support of the Social Media Analytics Manager
- Optimize social assets based on performance feedback from Paid Social Media and Analytics team
- Establish regular ideation sessions with wider teams to drive creative content and influence upcoming content opportunities
- Focus on the development of distinctive content including through partnerships to develop new, innovative ways to tell travel stories through the territories of our brands
- Develop and maintain content guidelines for social-first photo and video creation
- Work closely with the Consumer PR team to activate content from influencer and creator partnerships
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar content role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of Social Media channels, always up-to-date on the latest trends
- Creative copywriting skills with clear understanding of tone of voice and brand guidelines
- Previous experience in a content or advertising agency, or working with agencies is a plus
- Experience of using Social Media tools (e.g. Sprinklr)
- A video expert who understands different formats by channel and what makes outstanding video content

- Expert in social entertainment formats from written & imagery, to audio & animation
- Knowledge of graphic design is a plus (e.g. Photoshop, video editing software and similar)
