The Opportunity
We are now inviting applications for an experienced and seasoned Director of Revenue Management. In this diverse role, you will be responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profit associated with guest rooms. Position is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory of all hotels within area of purview. Develops and recommends sales strategy for pricing of the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments. Identifies new revenue opportunities and effectively communicates sales strategy and pricing to all key stakeholders.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires exceptional stakeholder management, attention to detail, strong influencing and communication skills and a collaborative approach. You will also work closely with the Hotels asset owner(s) and the Area Cluster Director of Market Strategy for Marriott International.
Key responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategies for our hotel within the region across all market segments
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly statistics and monitor trends utilising company reports
- Review all group business strategies ensuring the optimal market mix is achieved
- Resolve operational challenges through professionalism, innovation and leadership
- Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to branded web
- Manage the relationship with online market managers to maximise the region’s exposure through these distribution channels
- Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing, inventory controls and mix management
About You
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role is essential, preferably hospitality/hotel industry
- Degree in Revenue Management or related business discipline
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication/influencing skills
- Strong organizational, planning skills is a must
- Proven experience coaching a team and building a strong culture
- Rigorous commitment to accuracy and attention to details
- Integrity and professional
- Experience with a variety of hotel systems
- Full working rights in Australia
