            What’s the job?

The core focus of the Talent Development Manager is to create and execute talent development, training and learning initiatives on island and supporting our colleagues at all stages of their learning and development journey with Intercontinental Hayman Island Resort. The Talent Development Manager role oversees the talent program that will provide colleagues with the core skills to embody our Inspire Incredible brand culture, deliver on our True Hospitality promise.

            A little taste of your day-to-day 

- In conjunction with the wider Leadership team and Human Resources team, assess and develop a Talent Development Strategy and Plan, that identifies skills gaps and aligns with IHG corporate requirements and Resort service and leadership requirements.

- Development and ownership for creation and deliver of the development calendar and schedule to address agreed requirements and close identified skills gaps.

- Drive colleague engagement through facilitation of On-Boarding and Brand Orientation for new colleagues in conjunction with Departmental Trainers and hotel leaders.

- Seek, develop and support Departmental Trainers to provide ongoing technical and department specific capabilities.

- Support Department Leaders and Trainers to champion thorough awareness and successful execution of brand standards.

- Drive opportunities for external funding/financial incentives via government Apprenticeships and Traineeships programs.

- Champion InterContinental Brand and Online Learning platforms.

- Oversee utilisation of online learning platforms to address colleague career aspirations and development goals.

- Have a thorough knowledge of the Human Resources Talent Development Budget and track expenditure via the monthly P&L reports.

- Assist in the coordination of, and partner with Brand Champions in, co-facilitating InterContinental Brand training.

            What we need from you

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Learning & Development generalist capacity within the Hospitality/Tourism Industry

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to ensure effective communication with colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to enable strategic and creative thinking to solve complex problems and make informed decisions, along with an analytical and data-driven mindset to analyse data and identify trends to develop and improve training programs continually.

- You must be adept at managing competing demands, prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while remaining flexible and maintaining a focus on achieving organizational objectives.

- Previous Leadership experience in a similar role including partnering with leadership teams
