Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
People
- Direct everyday Revenue tasks, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers .
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
- Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect and have the tools they need to work efficiently.
- Recommend or initiate any HR elated actions where needed.
- Keep connected with key contacts including owners, asset managers, guest, travel agencies, others as needed .
Financial
- Put in place and implement pricing, yield, and selling strategies for the hotel, based on market factors and company guidelines.
- To guide and direct all revenue generating departments and their heads/leaders in selecting the optimum revenue opportunities for the hotel.
- Prepare hotel budgets, financial forecasts and reporting
- To understand the dynamics of the market and effect on RGI performance.
- Conduct weekly Revenue Meetings where the current 120-day booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control.
- Review with Sales team all Group requests and evaluate how each booking will impact occupancy, ADR over the dates in question.
Guest Experience
- Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint
- Make sure reservation process is in line with guests’ expectations and IHG standards
Responsible Business
- Maintain any software programs which contribute to the management of room’s revenue, including Concerto and SBRP
- Support operational departments with staffing requirements and increase efficiency by providing the latest occupancy trends
- Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of any internal up-selling program for Front Office and Reservations.
- Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
