Resort Manager - Hotel Indigo Palau

We’re searching for an Executive Assistant Manager to step-up and provide key leadership direction to maximise financial returns, drive people development and empower our team to create memorable guest experiences.

As the Resort Manager at Hotel Indigo Palau, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing daily operations, and upholding the resort's reputation as a lifestyle destination. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a passionate team, optimise operational efficiency, and create a welcoming atmosphere that ensures guests have unforgettable stays. Your commitment to excellence and attention to detail will be instrumental in achieving our resort's goals and maintaining its position as a sought-after location for relaxation, environmentally conscious travellers and marine life enthusiasts. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Operational Excellence: 

  • Oversee all resort operations, including accommodations, guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and recreational facilities. 
  • Implement best practices to optimise efficiency, enhance guest satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of service quality. 

Guest Experience: 

  • Ensure guests enjoy personalised and memorable experiences by leading a team committed to delivering exceptional service. 
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to elevate guest satisfaction. 
  • Drive guest recognition and loyalty through our One Rewards Tools and Resources 

Team Leadership: 

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a cohesive team of department managers and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growth. 
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure team members excel in their roles. 

Financial Management: 

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Director of Finanace to develop annual budgets and financial plans that align with revenue targets and cost control measures. 
  • Monitor financial performance of your departments, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial objectives. 

Resort Marketing and Sales: 

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to promote the resort's offerings and attract a diverse range of guests. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue streams, such as special events, packages, and partnerships. 

Health and Safety Compliance: 

  • Ensure the resort operates in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. 

Relationship Management: 

  • Foster positive relationships with guests, suppliers, local community members and land owners, and relevant stakeholders to enhance the resort's reputation and community engagement. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve operational processes, service delivery, and guest satisfaction. 
  • Stay informed about global industry trends, customer preferences, and technological advancements to innovate the resort's offerings. 

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field  
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in hospitality management roles, with a strong track record of managing international resort operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. 
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. 
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 
  • Proficiency in hospitality software, property management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
