Groups & Events Executive | InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto

It is recognised for its architectural significance, heritage listing and world-class luxury. We are looking for an innovative and passionate Groups & Events Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is vital for the procurement of key business and assisting in the planning and delivery of service during conferences and events.

Your day-to-day

  • Actively pursue leads and drive conversion to ensure all business opportunities are followed up and all defection and lost business is revisited regularly
  • Assist in the coordination and liaison with the Food and Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef on pricing and preparation of banquet menus
  • Provide quotations for conference and event proposals covering venue, function and accommodation costs
  • Prepare event planning documents as required, such as event orders, invoices and floorplans
  • Ensure progress deposits and final accounts are invoiced and payments received in a timely manner and complete billing and post charges for each event
  • Coordinate and host site inspections, pre-conference meetings and post conference reviews with clients
  • Proactively seek feedback from in-house and past event clients to ensure client satisfaction and to generate repeat business
