As Groups and Events Coordinator you’ll sell, coordinate and execute group and events creating memorable memories to our guests. A Groups and events Coordinator serving InterContinental brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.
Your day to day
•Monitors all contractual agreements pertaining to rooms, meeting space, beverage and food and special concessions;
•Coordinates all agreements stipulated in the group contract between operational departments;
•Responsible for maximizing food and beverage revenues from assigned groups by solicitation of affiliate business and up selling;
•Effectively communicates to all hotel departments the information necessary to successfully execute the group's needs. Provides feedback with solid and open communication;
•Maintains strong client relations and follow up on deposits due, rooming list and all necessary information to properly organize group needs;
•Verify credit information submitted in Finance department at point of turnover;
•Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential affiliate business;
•Promotes cross selling as a means of referral, acquire full knowledgeable and understanding of the corporate programs;
•Participates in training and other sales-related meetings as required;
•Prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities to develop new revenue streams;
•Achieving budget expectations and revenue targets.
