Business Development Manager (F/M)

The Phoenicia Hotel was a dream for Najib Salha – a prominent Lebanese businessman – who in the year 1953, during Lebanon’s Golden Era, envisioned to build a world class hotel on the shores of Beirut. With a group of investors, Mr. Salha founded “La Société des Grands Hotels du Liban” and invited leading American architect Edward Durell Stone to fulfill this dream.

Your day to day

The business development manager will be responsible for targeting and sourcing new clients for the hotel through creating, driving and closing business relationships. You will be required to identify sales leads, sell and market the hotel and its facilities / services to new clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy and plan to drive new corporate accounts to the hotel
  • Identifying and prospecting new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Writing and preparing business proposals / presentations
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the business and value proposition
  • Negotiating with all stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Maximize revenue on all new business secured for the hotel
  • Reporting to management on successes and areas needing improvements through written reports

What we need from you

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree

Skills

  • Fluent in Arabic, English and French Good Writing
  • Excellent Communication
  • Excellent Follow-Up / negotiation
  • Microsoft Office
  • ToolsExperience: At least 2 years of related experience
  • Competencies:Adaptability/FlexibilityPlanning and OrganizationCultural Awareness
  • Good understanding of the Business
