Main skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of food and beverage supervisory or management  experience, preferably in a luxury setting
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, speed and efficiencyComputer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software)
  • Excellent English (oral and written), French a definite plus
  • Must have and maintain a professional appearance for the luxury market
  • Must be knowledgeable in the delivery of luxury service and demonstrate a true passion for luxury service

Job description

  • Coordinate and supervise food and beverage products to ensure highest quality at all times
  • Develop and implement various promotions for the Restaurant with Food and Beverage Director
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, training, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling. Consults with Food & Beverage Director and Human Resources, as appropriate, in performing above duties
  • Resolve any complaint, questions or comments from guests and staff
  • Coordinate functions and activities with other department heads as appropriate
  • Monitor employees' hours for payroll control
  • Daily inspection of Restaurant, Bar, and Room Service for physical appearance/maintenance needs
  • Inspect all menus and restaurant equipment for good conditions and par levels
  • Ensure that guests receive excellent service at all times
  • Ensure that health and safety standards and procedures are respected and adhered to
  • Update the cash register system and compiles and prepares various reports
  • Implement and verify that all cost controls are in place and carried out appropriately
  • Work in other areas of the hotel if needed
