Wedding & Event Coordinator - Novotel Manchester West - United Kingdom

Novotel Manchester West is a quality 3 star hotel. The hotel is just outside the historic village of Worsley and around 6km from central Manchester. The hotel's 119 rooms each come with wireless internet and satellite TV. Restaurant and bar serve international dishes and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks. We provide fitness centre and there are 10 fully-equipped meeting rooms that can welcome up to 220 people.

 

MISSIONS

Responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing successful wedding events:

-You will be required to handle and convert wedding and event enquiries from the initial stages through to the final details. In addition to the accurate communication of client requirements to the Operational team prior to the event itself.

-Your key responsibilities in this role will be to effectively influence the promotion and sales of Weddings and Events at the hotel.

-A key part of this role is to conduct show rounds for weddings and events, ensuring that correct information are given to the appropriate enquiry.

-You will have to work closely alongside couples, guiding them through the planning process, lending experience and knowledge to devise the wedding day schedule and ensure their requirements and expectations are understood, agreed and met

-Co-ordinate the order of the day ensuring the sequence of events are kept timely, working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, Kitchen and Front of House staff

-Liaising with both internal and external suppliers and vendors

-Assist couples where required in setting up decorations

Act as Toastmaster where required. You must be committed and energetic to build and bring the wedding business forward from 45-50 a year to 70-90 -Be prepared to work on weekends and late evenings taking days off on weekdays Skills and Specifications: -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral -Strong networking and negotiation skills -Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure -Team player with excellent public relation skills -Keen attention to detail -Strong organisation and multitasking skills * Applicant must be already authorised to live and work in UK * Applicant outside UK must attached their evidence of being authorised to live and work in UK including NI number * For this position the business owner is not able to offer assistance in work authorization
