Sales Manager/Executive - Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford

Strategically located in the heart of Singapore’s shopping, dining and entertainment districts and with the City Hall and Esplanade Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train stations and other major transportation nodes at its doorstep, Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford are the gateway to explore Singapore’s landscapes at your convenience. With a total of 2,028 well-appointed guestrooms, both hotels offer a distinct collection of 15 lifestyle and dining choices including Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant JAAN, cutting-edge meeting space at Raffles City Convention Centre and one of Asia’s largest spas, Willow Stream Spa.

This position is responsible to drive revenue for the wedding segment. He/She is also responsible for booking of wedding couples event venue as well as other responsibilities which include anticipating and exceeding of wedding couples’ expectation and needs in planning of each wedding event while ensuring the best return value for the hotels.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • To manage wedding event’s site inspections and negotiation, contract writing, booking detail administration and pre-event meetings
  • Ensure prompt response to all forms of inquiries to capture the wedding business
  • Follow up and confirm with the wedding couples on all the information pertaining to the events and to organize information for accurate turnover once event is confirmed
  • Ensure Saturday Duty Office coverage for the Wedding team and to always be available to assist wedding couples while on site at appropriate times
  • Provide booking feedback to all the departments to include advance information on wedding functions to ensure client requirements are met and that refinements to service and procedures are made as necessary to meet the client’s needs
  • To compile all pertinent information leading to clear and concise agendas.
  • To address client requests to maximize client satisfaction while observing the hotel’s policies where appropriate
  • Organize a minimum two wedding showcases in a year
  • Maintain adequate communication with other departments in the hotel so that the needs of customers can be anticipated and met in an organized manner
  • Work closely with internal Department to ensure all contractual terms agreed upon are carried out and to maximize function space
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all time
  • Assist with any other Sales & Marketing projects as requested
