Sales Coordinator - The Fairmont Royal York

Showcase your outstanding interpersonal skills as a Sales Coordinator, where you will provide organizational and administrative support to the team and memorable service to your guests. We are looking for a detail-oriented, multi-tasker that is passionate about hospitality and providing exceptional service.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external clients
  • Maintain an orderly work environment
  • Accountability and ownership for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Have a complete understanding and knowledge of hotel’s services and facilities
  • Assist in qualifying leads, and entering acceptances/RFP’s in Lanyon
  • Assist with preparing proposals/contracts as needed
  • Responding to clients within one hour and adhering to Fairmont’s standards
  • Checking daily arrivals in Property Manager system
  • Conduct client site inspections to showcase the Hotels guestrooms and services
  • Maintain current sales and promotional literature
  • Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information
  • Prepare and disseminate month-end reports
  • Attend all sales communication meetings
  • Obtain and record account information including rate loading and competitive analysis
  • Provide administrative duties as required by Corporate Sales Manager(s)
  • Regular sales office reception coverage
  • Occasional Saturday office coverage
  • Assist with preparation and follow-up of sales trips
  • Liaise with Global Sales Offices and GRC Distribution Team Assist with duties of the Corporate Market Sales Manager when they are absent from the office
  • Assisting with resplus and Famous Agents initiatives
  • Ambassador and resource to travel arrangers for Fairmont’s loyalty program – resplus and Famous
  • Agents - assist with enrollment and tracking of bookings

Other tasks and duties as assigned Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Frequent sitting throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada.
