The Resort includes 209 luxurious guest bedrooms, 6 diverse dining outlets, 2 golf courses and a tranquil Spa & Leisure facility.Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service • To provide a warm atmosphere on arrival & departure for guests and visitors • To provide engaging service in all areas of the operation including: The Bag Drop, The Retail Outlet, The Professional Shop, The Practice Area, The Storage Areas & Golf Courses • To ensure all areas of the operation are clean, presentable and fully functional. • To ensure all Health & Safety standards are met. • To comply 100% with Fairmont Standards • To comply 100% with Golf Operations Assistant Checklist on a daily basis. • Assist the Pro Shop Assistants with guest requests • To work in The Pro Shop or Retail shop as required, checking in guests, assisting with requests. • To take every opportunity to maximise sales revenue through the sale of buggies, trolleys, hire clubs, balls, Shirts, gloves, clubs etc. • To be familiar with the other golf courses in the area and to be able to provide assistance in securing tee times if required. • Accumulation of Guest Feedback • Must be presentable at all times, wearing the uniform provided. • You will provide assistance to other departments in the hotel when required and as requested by the Golf Operations Manager. Qualifications: • Previous experience is an asset • Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities • Highly responsible & reliable • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Visa Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to work in the EU or hold a valid work authorisation for the UK.
