Director, Operations-Fairmont Dubai

Be an ambassador for the brand and your hotel as Director of Operations, where you will provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction.
- Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets through establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations and policy & procedural implementation
- Assuring your reports and their colleagues consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel, assuming the responsibilities of the General Manager in his absence
- Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards
- Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget
- Responsibility of driving efforts to achieve/exceed the hotels scorecard targets ie. GOP, Trust You, LQA, Employment Engagement
- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms and Food & Beverage are on time, on target and accurate
- Together with General Manager, coordinate the planning and implementation of capital projects
- Clearly demonstrate to guests and colleagues a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery core standards at all times.
- Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.
- Increase management effectiveness by coaching and counseling Leaders, communicating values, strategies, and objectives, assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, developing a climate for offering information and opinions, providing educational opportunities.
- Monitor and act on staffing levels and productivity targets
- Actively involved in the recruitment process of leadership positions within the Hotel
- Update and ensure timely awareness of the hotel’s business continuity plan as well as its emergency and crisis management plans
- Actively involved in various industry and community initiatives
- Be an ambassador for the Fairmont Brand
- Ensure all safety policies are being adhered to
- Other duties as assigned

Previous experience as a Director of Operations or Resident Manager

Previous experience in Rooms Division is a must

Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls

Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required

University/College degree in a related discipline preferred

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
