Director Development Central Europe (m/f/d)

As Director Development Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, under the supervision of the Vice-President Development Central Europe, you will contribute to the execution of the growth of the Accor brands through networking, sourcing all possible locations and leads as well as bringing together the operational, legal and technical services from the start of projects, enabling a smooth transition to the final stage of signing the contracts. You will be responsible for prospecting, developing, negotiating, executing deals and achieving projected goals for a number of development projects (new builts, conversions, etc) in this region.

Your main responsibilities hence are:

Autonomously source and negotiate sites or projects as well as existing hotels valid for franchise & management opportunities.

Ensure economic viability for the respective hotel projects.

Focus new development opportunities through networking geared at governmental authorities, municipalities, hotel owners, financial institutions, leading companies and prominent entrepreneurs, consultants, estate agents, architects, engineers, etc.

Actively participate in the strategic planning and implementation of the Development Plan.

Represents Accor and its brands in main hotel conferences and business events

Prepare presentation packages for validation by Development Committees in consultation with Technical / Operations / Financial / Marketing / Legal departments

Proven exposure to the German, Austrian and Swiss hospitality market. Candidate must be able to show evidence of stable growing network of connections throughout the region / countries to generate and source leads

Strong knowledge of all financial issues related to development and investment decisions: ROCE, IRR, Return on equity, finance and operating leases, hotel valuations

Strong knowledge and deep understanding of all kind of contracts in use for hotel developments (Lease, purchase, management, franchise)

Demonstrable evidence in strong negotiation skills

Demonstrable evidence in contributing to the strategic development of a brand

Strong analytical and numeric skills


  • Graduated in studies of hospitality, real estate or finance
  • 5 - 10 years experiences in hospitality, preferably in an international environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Excellent level of proficiency in excel, power point and word
  • Positive and motivate attitude as well as the ability for teamwork
