James Riley, new Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental Hotels

The current Group Chief Executive, Edouard Ettedgui, just officially announced his retirement as of March 31, 2016. He will be replaced by the finance director of Jardine Matheson Holding Ltd.

James Riley, currently finance director at Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited, will replace Edouard Ettedgui as Group Chief Executive starting in March 2016.

James Riley joined Jardine Matheson Group in 1993 after having begun his career in finance at Kleinwort Benson. He climbed the ladder at the Hong Kong holding senior finance and commercial positions before becoming Group Finance Director in 2005. Ten years ago he joined the board of directors of the group Mandarin Oriental Hotels, which he knows thoroughly from the bottom up.
