The founding partners and managers of the group, Marisol Turró, Javier Garro and Benjamín Sanz, sold 100% of Sercotel's shares to the investment group Landon Corporate.
Founded in 1994, the Spanish hotel group Sercotel today owns 154 hotels in 104 destinations in Spain, Andorra, Portugal, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico and Italy.
In 2005, Landon Corporate Group had already become one of the shareholders of the group, and today holds all the shares in its investment portfolio.
After having been a member of the Board of Directors of Landon Corporate Group for 15 years, José Rodríguez Pousa will become the new Chairman of Sercotel. However, the management of the group's operations will remain unchanged.
It is with the agreement of the shareholders and the Board of Directors of the company, that the will to grow through this change of shareholders has been carried out, making it possible to combine management capacity and financial strength.
In addition to the development of its human capital, the Sercotel group also envisages for the coming years an intensification of the creation of properties in different destinations where the hotel group Sercotel is already present, such as Spain and Latin America, but also new projects in Europe.
