
IHG launches the InterContinental Hotels brand at the seaside in Halong Bay, Vietnam with Ha Long Investment and Development Limited Company, a member of the BIM Group.
With an opening planned for 2023, IHG marks its expansion into Vietnam's Quang Ninh province with the signing of InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, with 175 rooms and InterContinental Residences Halong Bay with 60 apartments and 41 villas.
Halong Bay, comprising more than 1,600 islands, forms an ideal seascape for the InterContinental brand. The international luxury complex, located at the entrance to Halong town, will include five restaurants and bars, a spa, a gym, four swimming pools, a children's club, a private beach, as well as 6 meeting rooms for up to 500 people. The complex will also offer holidaymakers access to leisure activities such as theme parks, water parks and golf courses.
InterContinental Residances Halong Bay will offer guests the option of owning an apartment or villa, allowing their residence to benefit from the inclusion of a rental program with apartments and villas available for booking through IHG's global channels. The residence will be the third BIM Group residence project with IHG with InterContinental Phu Quoc currently under development.

Currently, InterContinental Hotels Group has 14 hotels in Vietnam across four brands and plans to open 15 more hotels in the coming years.
