The Italian businessman offers 24 euros per share, or 50 centimes more than the offer made earlier by the Chinese conglomerate.

The Sino-Italian battle for Club Med continues. In response to the raised offer made by the Chinese Fosun last December 1, the Italian Andrea Bonomi raised his bid. The businessman is now offering 24 euros per share for the resort operator or 50 cents more than the bid made by the Chinese group last week, which raised the bid 50 centimes from Bonomi's last offer in November. The new bid thus increases the value of Club Med to 915 million euros, versus the 890 million euros offered by Fosun and its new Brazilian, businessman Nelson Tanure.

Launched in June 2013 by Club Med's shareholders Fosun and Ardian, the first OPA initially offered 17 euros per share for a total of 540 million euros.
