Caribbean: new complex introduced by Chinese investors

Widespread Chinese investments do not stop in Asia or Europe. Antigua & Barbuda, in the West Indies, will welcome a hotel suite complex representing an investment of 758 million euros.

Once again, Chinese investors focus on the hotel industry. After Europe, the West Indies with Antigua & Barbuda saw a group of Chinese investors open an extensive hotel complex. Yida Group International Investment invested 758 million euros in the construction of the Singulari, which will occupy 647 hectares including several hotels and residences, marinas, as well as the biggest casino in the Caribbean.

It is not the first Chinese investment in the region, constructions were undertaken in Jamaica and the Bahamas, where the group China State Construction Engineering Corporation invested more than 2.6 billion euros in the gigantic complex. Moreover, Chinese investments were recently made in Europe, particularly in Western Europe.
