{{HTR: As the leading Chinese group, how do you consider the impressive development of international hotel groups in your country?Y. W. M:}} As the No. 4 travel market worldwide, China is under rapid development. We believe there will still remain a lot of leisure, MICE and business tourism in China’s travel market after these two events. The group also has some franchise properties. Based on that, the management of the business will be more flexible and we can adjust the business strategy according to the changing market.Yang Wei Min: }} China has gradually become a hot travel destination for business and leisure tourists. We believe that more and more foreign brands and emerging local hotels chains will enter China’s hotel market in the future. Jin Jiang Hotels is a local hotel chain that combines market knowledge and professional operational skills. These advantages will help us consolidate and further develop our portfolio to maintain a leading position in the Chinese hotel industry.{{HTR: With a strong reputation on your domestic market, how do you consider competition with the international brands?Y. W. M:}} With the brand reputation of the Jin Jiang Hotel Group and the substantial market foundation in Shanghai, the group has the confidence to increase its local market share. As the largest hotel chain and hotel management company in China, our group will maintain a competitive leading position with foreign competitors thanks to its advantage as both owner and operator.{{HTR: Your structure increasingly resembles that of an international group. Is this the example Jin Jiang wants to follow? After Jin Jiang Inns, will you launch new brands for each hotel category?Y. W. M:}} Yes. Besides the star-rated hotels operated and managed by Jin Jiang Hotels and the economy hotels managed by Jin Jiang Inn, we will explore the opportunity to expand our brand segmentation with the development of classic and business hotels. Our focus is to enhance and unify our operating standard. We believe these are the core competitive values of our hotel group. Besides our work on the brand system, loyalty program and hotel training program, we have another strong focus: our corporate hotel websites and our central reservation system.{{ HTR: What is your development strategy for the different categories? Do you hope that one day, there will be Jinjiang hotels outside China?Y. W. M:}} The company has different strategies for different categories. Currently we are still focusing on the domestic market and further expansion of our network in China. JinJiang Hotels has the long-term goal to develop in the overseas market.{{HTR: Do you fear an oversupply after the two major events that will take place in China, the Olympics in Beijing and the World’s Fair in Shanghai?Y. W. M:}} As the No. 4 travel market worldwide, China is under rapid development. We believe there will still remain a lot of leisure, MICE and business tourism in China’s travel market after these two events. The group also has some franchise properties. Based on that, the management of the business will be more flexible and we can adjust the business strategy according to the changing market.
