Hotel Lune

Moon World Resorts, a company founded by Canadian entrepreneur Michael R. Henderson, plans to build giant spherical hotels that look like moons from the outside.

According to the company, the idea is to build four "Moon hotels", all five-star hotels with a capacity of 4,000 rooms that will be located in the Middle East, North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Each moon-shaped sphere could reach a height of 224 metres and a circumference of 622 metres, depending on location and country approvals. In addition, the construction of each property would be funded by licensing agreements with local operators.

The developer explains that "all suites will include the most innovative purified air and antibacterial technology, while equipment will be certified non-toxic, recyclable, biodegradable, environmentally friendly and not tested on animals.

Michael R. Henderson expects that the first licensing agreement could be signed by the end of 2022, so that the first Moon Resort would open in 2027. The investment in the construction of this first hotel would be $5 billion.

In addition to the 4,000 suites that each hotel would house, the building would be themed inside with obvious references to the moon, including attractions and lunar gravity simulators. A team of engineers, architects and artists are also working on ideas for the hotels to house convention centres, concert halls and landscaped areas.
