Hostmaker, a startup specialized in the concierge service designed for individuals and offering short-term accommodations just clinched a 6-million-euro fundraising campaign.
The British startup’s new fundraising campaign was conducted by the venture capital fund Ventech and by the investor DN Capital. This operation raises its total investment to 9 million euros since its creation. This should allow the company to grow on existing markets: Paris, London, Barcelona and Rome, which represent key destinations for Airbnb. In these host cities, Hostmaker works with 1,000 guests.
At the time of this announcement, Nakul Sharma, president-founder of Hostmaker, declared “Our investors back our vision of creating a premium hospitality experience within the. At this time, we are the only ones on this market to grow this fast on an international scale and to capitalize on the opportunity to offer owners exclusive price optimization, an inside decorating service and an operational staff, trained in 5-star hotels. With 400% growth last year and an experienced management team, we are now targeting even more ambitious growth in 2017 within each of our markets. We want owners’ short-term-accommodation experience to be dead simple.”
Launched in Great Britain in July 2014, the company provides a high-scale concierge service to Airbnb guests and to owners offering short-term accommodations. The service can provide reservation and revenue management as well as the interior decoration or housekeeping and laundry services. The company embarked on the Paris market in February 2016.
