Marriott International announces a multi-year partnership with European football club FC Bayern, with Courtyard by Marriott becoming the official hotel partner for the German football club.
This new partnership intends to offer clients exclusive access to football experiences. In addition to serving cocktails and offering menu options, a custom-built box offers clients a good view of the pitch in the Allianz Arena. The partnership also offers opportunities to the 100 million members of Marriott’s loyalty programs to bid on the chance to travel with the football team or have dinner with them.
Courtyard by Marriott operates more than 1,000 properties and more than 163,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON as of January 1, 2017. The brand is expecting to open another 30 hotels by 2020, including Courtyard Munich Garching later this year, which is near the Allianz Arena in order to offer fans an amplified match-day experience.
