Squarebreak

With the formalization of its purchase of holdings in the capital of the digital French platform Squarebreak and the American Oasis Collections, AccorHotels confirms its growing interest in new commercial accommodations services.

The French hotel group AccorHotels has announced its acquisition of 49% of the capital of Squarebreak, and 30% of the capital of Oasis Collections. Developed in France in 2013, Squarebreak offers stays in upscale private properties, offering services that are similar to those available at hotels on behalf of the owners. At present, the platform makes it possible to rent this type of accommodation at several destinations in France, Spain and Morocco.

The concept of Oasis Collections is fairly similar. The American platform created in 2009 specializes in the "home meets hotel" rental category, a form of accommodation that combines the principles of c2c rentals and personalized hotel services: concierge services, exclusive offers at the destination, etc. The service offers its users close to 1,500 properties in twenty or so destinations, particularly in the Americas and Europe. Oasis Collections plans to continue its rapid development, and plans to be present in 70 major cities by 2019.
