IHG Announces Expansion in Dubai

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced it is to open the InterContinental Dubai Marina in 2013.

IHG has signed an agreement with Dubai-based property developer Select Group to open the InterContinental Dubai Marina. The group will thus increase its portfolio of InterContinental hotels in the United Arab Emirates to three, the new establishment joining InterContinental Abu Dhabi and InterContinental Dubai Festival City. The property, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2013, will comprise 132 rooms and 196 residential suites, including studios, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments and be located in the cosmopolitan Marina area, close to the popular Jumerirah Beach Residence. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts operates 170 hotels in more than 60 countries around the world and has an additional 58 hotels in the global development pipeline.
