Réorganisation Accor Hôtellerie

As announced by Sébastien Bazin at the beginning of July, the group entered a new stage of transformation to gain in efficiency. The priority is also to be as close as possible to the needs of the ground and of each brand. This change has been formalised with the announcement of the heads of each business unit.

Sébastien Bazin shared this in an interview with Vanguélis Panayotis, CEO Hospitality ON last September:

"My observation was that the group is very complex to manage. We went from 10 to 43 brands in very different geographies. This strategy has worked well and we have become very big, so it is now complex to manage.

The same employee who is in charge of one region cannot continue to solve problems on a portfolio as varied as an ibis, then a Novotel and then a Raffles. This requires more thought and not necessarily of the same quality.

Our complexity makes it difficult for an owner or financial investor to analyse. So it was time to make things simpler, more readable with more expertise in the right place."

Each division will therefore be organised as follows:

The "Premium, Midscale & Economy" division, under the direction of Jean-Jacques Morin:

  • Thomas DUBAERE, CEO Americas
  • Patrick MENDES, CEO Europe & North Africa
  • Duncan O’ROURKE, CEO Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Asia Pacific
  • Gary ROSEN, CEO Greater China, including Luxury & Lifestyle division

Support functions will be provided by:

  • Besma BOUMAZA, General Counsel
  • Fabrice CARRÉ, Chief Strategy Officer
  • Steven DAINES, Chief Talent & Culture Officer
  • Karelle LAMOUCHE, Chief Commercial Officer
  • Patrick LAURENT, Chief Financial Officer
  • Camil YAZBECK, Chief Development Officer

The Luxury & Lifestyle division, under the direction of Sébastien Bazin, will oversee the Raffles & Orient Express, Fairmont, Sofitel, MGallery, Emblems and Ennismore brands as follows:

  • Omer ACAR, Raffles & Orient Express (starting March 1st, 2023)
  • Maud BAILLY, CEO Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems
  • Gaurav BHUSHAN, Co-CEO Ennismore
  • Mark WILLIS, CEO Fairmont

These divisions will be supported by:

  • Kamal RHAZALI, Secretary General & General Counsel (starting Feb 1st, 2023)
  • Agnès ROQUEFORT, Chief Development Officer
  • Johny ZAKHEM, Chief Financial Officer

These two divisions will be supported and linked by a group management committee which will bring together, around Sébastien Bazin:

  • Besma BOUMAZA, Group General Counsel & Board of Directors’ Secretary
  • Steven DAINES, Chief Talent & Culture Officer
  • Jean-Jacques MORIN, Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer
  • Brune POIRSON, Chief Sustainability Officer
  • Kamal RHAZALI, Secretary General & General Counsel, Luxury Lifestyle
  • Floor BLEEKER, Chief Technology Officer
  • Alix BOULNOIS, Chief Digital Officer
